What Nigerians Expect from Your Husband, Kano Emir tells First Lady

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has implored the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu to personally relay the message of his palace to her husband, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the need to curtail the menace of insecurity bedeviling the country.
The Emir disclosed this while the receiving the First who paid him a courtesy visit at his palace on Monday.
Recall that POLITICS DIGEST earlier today reported that the first lady visited the ancient city of Kano, and was received by the governor of the state, Alhaji Yusuf Kabir Abba and his entourage at the Aminu Kano International Airport.
The First Lady is currently in Kano State to commission Faculty of Law at a Private University, Maryam Abacha American University Kano, which was named after her.
Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero said that the current insecurity that is affecting different parts of the country is worrisome, hence the need for effective measures to curtail it.
“Nigerians are currently facing hardship, hunger and Starvation, Government have to be abreast in addressing the situation

“Although we have several means of communicating to the Government on our needs and request, but your way and means is the surest way that you would tell the President the actual happenings in the Country.“
The Emir who spoke in Hausa language, and his messages were translated in English, admitted that though hunger and starvation didn’t start with this government, but that the situations have become more alarming and require urgent attention
He commended the first lady for her care about the wellbeing and welfare of children, as he also enjoined her to actualize her Renewed Hope Initiative Pet Program in the state.
Expressing worries about the Girl Child Education, the traditional ruler urged the first lady to look at the issue critically and ensure that the issues are tackled without problems.
Responding,the first lady said the administration of President Bola Ahmad Tinubu is doing everything possible in ensuring all the challenges are tackled.
She appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the current situation, assuring that all them would soon be things of the past.
She then appreciated the warm reception accorded to her in the state and reassured the commitment of her husband’s administration in providing succor to the current hardship Nigerians are facing .
