Northern ambition is beyond 2023 — Gov. Matawalle
POLITICS DIGEST– Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara state has emphasized the need for northerners to unite and confront the challenges bedevilling the region growth instead of wasting much energy, time and resources on the issue of 2023 politicking.
Gov Matawalle said northern elites and other notables leaders should find lasting solutions to the challenges facing the region, more especially on banditry, kidnappings, poverty and laziness.
He called on northerners and well meaning Nigerians to jointly confront the challenges with sincerity of purpose, wholeheartedly irrespective of ethnic and political differences.
” It time for us to end destructions and killings, lets nurture the habits of forgiveness on our wrongs and become united, we must unite with all our ability so as to leave a lasting solution of peace and political cohesion to the upcoming generation”

Matawalle added that northern position and status must be beyond 2023. Therefore, Northern attention should be a top priority for ensuring security, peace and economic development not ambitions.
He appealed to leaders to rub minds in proper solutions and developmental path of progress of Northern folks and national building.
He enjoined citizens to understand the trends and enshrine ways to assist themselves and remain united for the progress of the region beyond 2023.
He commended the efforts and sacrificed made by security operatives that are battling daily against rampant attacks by bandits in the region.
He urged Nigerians to continue to offer prayers for divine intervention and also assist security agents with information on the activities of these attackers.
