2023: Obi Supporters Accuse Atiku of Corrupt Entitlement, Ask him to Step Down
The Peter Obi Support Network (POSN) has condemned a statement made by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, during an interview session with Arise News, alleging that Obi cannot win 2023 Presidential Election.
The group in a statement by its spokesperson, Comrade Sani Saeed Altukry, on Saturday accused the former Vice-President of championing corruption and promoting vote buying, adding that it was the same method he ‘used’ to secure the PDP Presidential ticket.
Atiku had, during the interview, said Obi’s Labour Party does not have any office holder from local to national level, adding that he therefore lacks the structure to win next year’s election.

“Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s assertion speaks to the illusions of the fascist school of thought that believes that the masses do not matter and erroneously believes that the masses cannot think for themselves.
“We are banking on the votes of the millions of dissatisfied but genuinely patriotic Nigerians who want to see a truly independent, prosperous and thriving democratic Nigeria. And everyday, as we move from community to community, from market to market, from mosque to mosque and from church to church we are encouraged by the passion displayed by these Nigerians for a new, working and productive Nigeria under the leadership of Mr. Peter Obi and Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed,” the statement read in part.
The statement added that since Atiku had confirmed Obi’s competence and wide acceptability, the right thing was to step down for the former Anambra state governor in the interest of Nigeria.
