Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Alhaji Ibrahim Ado, is Dead

The Ohinoyi of Ebiraland in Kogi state, Alhaji Ado Ibrahim, has passed on at the age of 94.
The news of his death was announced by his son, Alhaji Malik Ado Ibrahim, on his official Facebook in the early hours of today.
It was learnt that the paramount Kogi traditional ruler was bedridden for almost a month, prior to his transition today.
He served as the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland for 25 years.

Born on February 7, 1929, Alh. Ibrahim Ado was the fourth Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, a title headquartered in Okene, Kogi State.
He was the son of the second Attah (now Ohinoyi) of Ebiraland, Ibrahim Onoruoyiza, from the Omadivi clan, who reigned from 1917 to 1954.
In 1997, after the passing away of Ohinoyi Sanni Omolori of the Oziada clan, AbdulRahman Ado Ibrahim, the then Lagos-based entrepreneur and the son of the second paramount ruler of Ebiraland, ascended the throne as the Ohinoyi, on June, 2nd 1997.
Throughout his reign, the late Ohinoyi was known for his significant contributions, including the construction of the magnificent Azad Palace, named after one of his sons.
