FG Okays 2024 National Honours Ceremony
POLITICS DIGEST- President Bola Tinubu has approved the commencement of the 2024 National Honours Ceremony to recognize Nigerians and friends of Nigeria who have made significant contributions to the country’s development or excelled in their fields.
The Minister of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, Zaphaniah Jisalo, announced this on Monday in Abuja during a top management meeting.

He emphasized that the nomination process for National Honours is free and warned against paying individuals or groups for recognition, stating that anyone who does so does it at their own risk.
The public is encouraged to watch out for the Call for Nominations and submit individuals who have made a positive impact on the nation and its people.
This process is in accordance with the National Honours Award Act CAP N43 of the Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004, which took retrospective effect from October 1, 1963.
