Ondo 2024: I’ll be Tinubu’s Anointed Candidate – Oyedele

A foremost Alumni of the University of Lagos, Engr. Ifeoluwa Oyodele has said he is the most competent among the aspirants jostling for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Ondo State.
Oyedele attested to the fact that if President Bola Tinubu decides to anoint a candidate, he will be the most preferred choice of the president.
Speaking to journalists immediately after submission of his nomination and expression of interest forms at the APC, National secretariat on Friday, Oyedele said that he has sacrificed a lot for the party, therefore, it is his turn.
Oyedele who designed the APC, logo used the slang of president Tinubu ‘Emi lokan’, saying that, in Ondo state, he is next inline to be the governor.
He said “I’m very confident that the president has not anointed anybody. In fact, if he wants to anoint anybody, I am sure that I will be the first on the list that the president will anoint. Because, Tinubu is the man who values competence and that will be me.
“In terms of education, relationship, capacity, I am sure and said without any iota of doubt in my mind that I am the most competent aspirant.

“Therefore using the foremost words of the President and Commander – in – Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I can say in Ondo state: “Emi Lo Kan”, I think is my turn,” Oyedele said.
He continued “I think you all know that, we are perhaps one of the best educated states in Nigeria and there are several opportunities. It is therefore very important that we elect a man who has vision that can take the state back to the top”, he said.
Meanwhile, all the 16 aspirants who purchased the nomination and expression of interest forms at the APC, secretariat have all submitted.
Deputy National Organising Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru, disclosed this during the closing ceremony on Friday.
He said “After today, the next exercise is the screening of aspirants and that would take place on the 11th and 12th of April, 2024. After that, it would then be the proper primary.”
He assured that the party is interested and desirous of conducting a free fair transparent primary’s in Ondo state.
“And that for us is the only guarantee that at the end of the exercise out of the 16 we are aware only 1 will emerge and the rest can extend the hand of felicitation with whosever emerge as we did in Edo state,” Duru said.
