Our Nation needs Healing By Osita Chidoka
POLITICS DIGEST- After the barrage of online attacks on my position on Nmesoma, I woke up this morning to an apology from one of the young men who attacked my integrity and position on the saga. I wrote the following paragraphs in response.
If you do not allow facts to disturb your conclusions, you are a moron. Following the herd is a sign of spiritual weakness. You and you alone is responsible for what you think, say and do. To arrive at a conclusion requires inflexible weighing and examining because you are an independent soul. I promote personal responsibility.

Insisting on a wrong course is equivalent to travelling in the opposite direction to your destination and hoping to arrive at your destination. You will never. The only path open is to reverse course upon realising you are on the wrong track. Persisting on your wrong trajectory and insisting on arriving at your destination without a detour is madness.
On Nmesoma: My offer to plead with JAMB still stands and I will do so. I also plead we remain mindful of her young age and work towards using this experience as a teaching moment. Castigating her will be counterproductive. I believe in justice and also in mercy and restoration.
