Our Services Continue Amidst NUEE Strike, KEDCO Assures Customers
POLITICS DIGEST – The Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO) has assured its customers that the ongoing workers’ strike of National Union of Electricity Employees (NUEE) will not affect its operations.
This is contained in a statement signed by the KEDCO Head, Corporate Communications, Ibrahim Sani Shawai on Wednesday.
KEDCO said that its cash offices, customers’ services offices, as well as its revenue offices would remain open, while assuring that their sales representatives would continue to distribute and collect bills accordingly.
The statement added that “The decision is geared towards ensuring that its numerous customers are not denied the services that will ensure that they get value for their money as well as ensure that their complaints are listened to for prompt actions in line with the resolve of the company to minimize complaints while maximizing satisfaction of all stakeholders”.
“KEDCO would continue to protect their interest and the interest of all stakeholders in the sector; hence there should be no reason or cause for alarm because of the industrial action.”
The management of the company then called on their customers to continue paying their bills as all modalities have been put in place to ensure they are served in their regard, adding that more customers friendly services are being developed to give all their customers better service delivery in 2020.
KEDCO finally called on the Federal Government and the striking NUEE members to discuss and amicably resolve their misunderstanding in the overall interest of the country, while appealing for both parties to leverage on common ground to put an end to the industrial action in order to move the nation and the power sector forward.
