Oyinlola, CBCIU board members attend UNESCO General Assembly session
POLITICS DIGEST- The ninth session of the General Assembly of the States Parties to the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO opened on Tuesday at its headquarters in Paris.

Chairman of the board of Trustees of the Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding (CBCIU), Osogbo, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, with Professors Michael Omolewa and Siyan Oyeweso, both members of the board of the centre.
The meeting ends Thursday, 7 July, 2022.
According to UNESCO on its website, over the three days, 180 States parties gathered “to discuss issues that are important for the safeguarding of living heritage around the world and the future of the Convention. These include notably the global reflection on the listing mechanisms of the Convention, the plan for the use of the resources of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Fund and the accreditation of non-governmental organizations. In addition, twelve new members of the Committee will be elected.”
