COVID- 19: PCACC Warns Traditional Title Holders Against Diversion Of Palliative
POLITICS DIGEST– The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission is concerned with the number of complaints being received
on the diversion of COVID-19 Palliatives by some officials involved in the management and distribution of the materials most recently against some traditional title holders at the local level.

In view of the ugly trend the Commission’s Executive Chairman Barrister Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado wishes to emphasize that, the palliatives is meant for the poor and anyone found to have diverted any item no matter the size or number for his personal or political gain shall be prosecuted.
In a statement signed by Director special assignment in the commission Malam Usman Bello said in accordance with the relevant Laws.
The statement which reads in part:
“We have promised to deal with any issue of distribution of palliative where I made a promise that even a tea spoon of sugar will see us going to the court and that is exactly what we are doing”.
Muhuyi Magaji Rimin Gado further emphasized that, all those involved in the management/distribution of the palliatives should abide by the rules, regulations and procedures set up by the Kano State COVID-19 Fund Raising Committee as the Commission will continue to monitor the exercise until its completion.
