PDP Chairman, Secretary Resign, Quit Party
POLITICS DIGEST- The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Imo State, Charles Ezekwem has resigned.
Ezekwem, in a letter addressed to the National Chairman, Uche Secondus, based his resignation on what he called “prevailing circumstances“ within the party, he announced that he is dumping the party.
He also denounced his membership of the party claiming to had notified his party at both the ward and state level of his action.

Similarly, The PDP Publicity Secretary in the State, Mr. Damian Opara, has also resigned.
Opara announced his resignation in a letter to the Chairman of the party in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area, Emeka Aihe.
The letter was also copied to the Ward Chairman of Obitti/Mgbuisi, Uche Mazi. Opara, who did not state the reasons for his resignation, thanked the party for giving him the opportunity to serve.
Meanwhile, there has been mass defection of PDP members to the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the Supreme Court verdict, which sacked the PDP government of Emeka Ihedioha and installed Hope Uzodinma of APC as the new governor.
