“Politics Is Not A Dirty Game” – Ganduje
POLITICS DIGEST – Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje has argued that contrary to the way many people view it, politics is not a dirty game.
He made the disclosure on Thursday in Abuja at the NAF Conference Centre Kado during the launching of a book titled, ‘Unfinished Greatness: Envisioning a New Nigeria’ by the Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi.
According to Ganduje, the fact that many people see politics as a dirty game is the reason so many qualified minds and intellectuals avoid getting active in politics.

He however called on such people to change their views as intellectuals are needed in politics.
“Politics is not a dirty game,” Ganduje said.
“We are witnessing intellectualism in governance and intellectualism in politics. There is no doubt, this is a welcome development.
“It is good for intellectuals to take a role in politics because they analyze and lead the people because there are always conflicting variables.
“In Nigeria, intellectuals are afraid of governance because they see politics as a dirty game. But Politics is not a dirty game. There is a connection between intellectualism and governance,” Ganduje added.
