2023 Presidency: Abdulmumin Jibrin floats G-23 youth mobilisation initiative
POLITICS DIGEST- Ahead of the 2023 general elections, a former member House of Representatives from Kano, Abdulmumin Jibrin along side a team of young Nigerians accross the country are set to unveil a youth political mobilisation initiative tagged Group- 23 (G-23).
Mr Jibrin who announced this in a statement on Tuesday said the initiative was aimed at participating with commitment and tenacity and influencing the 2023 general elections under the APC.
“It is formed with a solid structure in each of the polling units of the country comprising young people. The G-23 is intended to be the largest and strongest political mobilisation structure in the country and is determined to play a significant role in the next general election especially identifying and mobilising support for a candidate in the next presidential election.

Mr Jibrin, who was a former chairman House Committee on Finance and later Appropriations has lead two successive and successful Speakership campaign in 2015 and 2019 respectively, noted that the contribution of young people to the development of a nation is paramount, hence the need for such a powerful force.
“Since I joined politics, my dream is to build an independent and strong youth-based political structure founded on volunteer principles with strong representatives in all the polling units of the country.
“It didn’t take us a day. We have been working hard to actualize this mission for a couple of years now. Politics is all about people. The people are there. You just simply need to find your way to them”
“we are also leveraging on technology such that with a single press on a button, you can reach out to your point men in all the units accross the country”
“It is my hope and vision that this will turn out to be the largest and most influential platform of young people as we march towards 2023 and beyond,” Mr Jibrin said.
The former lawmaker also disclosed that the formal unveiling of the group and its operational head quaters will take place in Abuja on a date to be announced soon.
