Ex-Reps Member Donates Foodstuffs to Over 2,000 Kano Residents
Excitement filled Kano Municipal in Kano State as Hon. Sha’aban Ibrahim Sharada, former Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Almajiri and Out-of-School Children Education, distributed food items to over 2,000 beneficiaries to mitigate the rising economic hardship affecting many households.
The Sha’aban Sharada Foundation organised the distribution in Kano on Tuesday.
Hon. Sharada personally flagged off the distribution, where each beneficiary received three 5kg bags of food items, including maize, millet, and sorghum.

Hon. Sharada, a former House of Representatives member, emphasized that giving back to the community is a priority for him.
.“I call on our leaders to fear Allah and pay attention to the difficult economic conditions people are enduring,” he said. “Efforts should be made to alleviate their suffering and make life more bearable,” he stated

“This assistance has brought relief to our hunger-stricken families,” said a beneficiary, Shehu Garba.
“Despite the economic challenges and the fact that he no longer holds his previous position, Hon. Sharada has not forgotten his people. Although this won’t eliminate our poverty, Alhamdulillah, it will reduce our burden. May Allah reward him and bless his late father,” he added.
Another beneficiary, Abdulhadi Zango, was full of praise, saying, “I lack the words to properly thank Hon. Sharada.
“Instead, I pray Allah grants him success and rewards him abundantly. This gesture shows he truly cares about the poor. I also urge other leaders and wealthy individuals to remember those in need,” he added.
The initiative has been widely commended as a compassionate and timely intervention, providing much-needed relief to struggling families amid the nation’s ongoing economic challenges.
