Ex-Reps Speaker, Dimeji Bankole, Emerges 3rd Presidential Aspirant from Ogun

Oladimeji Sabur Bankole, a former Speaker of the Nigerian House of Representatives, has swelled the rank of presidential aspirants of Ogun State extraction, ahead of the 2023 polls.
The former Speaker, obtained his N100 million All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination and expression of interest forms, on Friday, Politics Digest learnt.

At the International Conference Center, ICC, in Abuja, Alh. Mahmuda Aliyu Shinkafi, a Former Governor of Zamfara State, obtained the forms on behalf of Mr. Bankole.
Shinkafi, described Bankole as the ‘best Presidential aspirant’, judging by his exemplary style of leadership as Speaker of the House of Representative, between 2007 and 2011.
He added that, Bankole is a very strong contender and will not be intimidated by other aspirants in the race.
With Bankole joining the race for the 2023 presidency, Ogun State will be having not less than three aspirants, including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and former Governor Ibikunle Amosun.
