BREAKING: Sanusi Drags IGP, DSS DG to Court Over Continuous Detention, Incarceration
POLITICS DIGEST – Former Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II has filed a suit before the Federal High Court in Abuja for an order for his release from banishment.
Sanusi was taken to Awe in Nasarawa State since his dethronement by Kano state government on Monday.

His team of lawyers led by Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), on Thursday, filed a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/357/2020 before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Similarly, The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has on Thursday dragged the Federal and Kano state Governments to the United Nations Working Group on Arbitrary Detention over what it described as the “arbitrary detention and degrading treatment” of the deposed Emir.
