Security Checks: El-Rufai, Danladi and Okotete wait Senate Confirmation
POLITICS DIGEST- The Senate has explained that security checks blocked the trio of former Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasir El Rufai, former Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Sani Danladi and former Executive Director of Nexim Bank, Stella Okotete from being confirmed as Ministers of the Government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The Senate had announced the confirmation of 45 ministerial nominees from the 48 names sent her by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, including a representative of the Federal Capital Territory.
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio who announced the confirmation of the 45 nominees yesterday revealed that the other 3 nominees yet to be confirmed would get their chance once the security checks are completed on them.
However, the Senate Spokesman, Yemi Adaramodu who later spoke with the Senate Press Corps noted that the “trio are awaiting further legislative processes”, adding that the Senate would officially communicate to the presidency her actions.
