The gale of expulsion rocking the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in Gombe State has continued with the expulsion of Senator Amos Bulus (Gombe South) and Hon Yunusa Abubakar, the member representing Yamaltu Deba Federal Constituency in the National Assembly Abuja.
Senator Bulus and Hon. Abubakar’s expulsions are coming on the heels of a similar fate of Senators Danjuma Goje from the party for alleged anti-party activities.
Senators Danjuma Goje and Bulus Amos represent Gombe Central and South Senatorial Districts in the Senate of the National Assembly.
Senator Goje was the only APC Senator who won in the last Presidential and National Assembly election held on February 25 and was returned for the fourth term in the Senate.
The APC Gombe lost two Senate seats, Gombe North and South; and five House of Representatives members out of six in the Presidential/National Assembly election.
Addressing journalists at Lugbo ward of Honourable Yunusa Abubakar, the APC Lubo Difa Kinafa ward Chairman Maina Ahmadu said the lawmaker had earlier been suspended when he failed to appear before the five man committee and respond to the allegations of anti-party activities leveled against him.
“As a result of his inability to defend all these allegations of anti-party activities which are all over the social media, he is hereby expelled from the party and we want the National body of our party to take appropriate action against him,” he said.
Secretary of the party at Lubo/Kinafa/Difa ward of Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Sama’ila Aliyu said the lawmaker had failed to appear before the panel set up to investigate his alleged anti-party activities.
Aliyu informed that the executives also extended an invitation to him to defend himself but Abubakar failed to appear before them.

The Bambam ward of Senator Amos Bulus also expelled him from the party after the five man committee set up to investigate the allegations of his anti-party activities found him guilty.
Announcing the decision of executives of Bambam ward in Balanga Local Government to expel Amos on Tuesday, the Chairman Muhammad Kaka, said the expulsion became necessary following the failure of the senator to defend himself against allegations leveled against him instead went ahead to issue threats to party executives at the ward.
“We held elections in our ward during the just concluded general elections and we have Senator Amos from our ward who didn’t come out to partake in our political activities.
“Instead the senator went round with his supporters telling them not to vote the APC and in his polling unit and the surrounding polling units APC didn’t win any of those units because of his anti-party activities.
“This really disturbed the executives at the ward and we sat down to examine this and decided to summon him to defend himself and explain why he did what he did,” he said.
He stated further that though Amos appeared before them but could not justify his actions adding that “we gave him another chance but he failed to return.
“He said we have no right to expel him from the party; this is wrong as no one is bigger than the party, it is in view of this that we the executives at the ward decided to expel Senator Amos from our party.”
Also speaking, Ali Kachalla, chairman APC, Balanga LG noted that the decision was for the good of the party, adding that in Gombe South, the APC in Balanga remains strong and united.
Kachalla said with the action of the executives at Bambam ward, APC in the LG was now better positioned to rebuild the party better and to ensure future victories. Gombe APC expels another Senator, Reps member.
