Sexual Assault Claim: Court Bars Hisbah, Police from Arresting Kannywood Actress
A Kannywood actress Mansurah Isah has sued the Kano Hisbah Board and Kano Commissioner of Police at a Federal High Court in the state.
Mansurah, an ex-wife to Kannywood actor Sani Danja, filed the suit through her lawyer, Barrister Ibrahim Abdullahi Chedi.
It would be recalled that the Kannywood actress recently posted a video on her social media handles, making allegations of sexual molestation of a minor in one of the public primary schools in the state. She called the attention of the government to wade into the matter.
The Kano State government debunked claims of sexual molestation of a minor by the actress.

The state Commissioner of Education, Umar Doguwa, stated this while briefing journalists on Monday, saying issues of concern should be channelled to the appropriate authorities rather than to social media.
Doguwa, however, called on the public to direct any subject of concern to the government as they are freely available to listen.
Worried over Hisbah’s effort and the state Commissioner of Police to arrest her, Isah rushed to the court and obtained an order barring Hisbah and the state Commissioner of Police from arresting her until the determination of the suit on notice.
Not only the state Commissioner, the Director-General of the Kano Hisbah Board told journalists that they invited Mansurah Isah to their office for interrogation so that they can investigate the matter but all the allegations by the actress happened to be false.
