SOKOTO 2023: APC Governorship Candidate Unfolds 8 Point Agenda
The APC gubernatorial candidate candidate in sokoto state Ahmed Aliyu sokoto fcna has unfolded his 8 point agenda for the state if elected into office.
Aliyu made this known while addressing an unprecedented crowd who converged on Wamakko local government for the Flagg of of the state wide campaign rally.
The 8 point agenda according to him include, Security, Agriculture, Rural development,water supply, Health care, education, infrastructural development as well as Empowerment progrmme.
This he added is addition to the earlier pledged of making the local Government councils autonomous.
Alhaji Aliyu said the 8 point agenda is aimed at ensuring a new Sokoto State that can compete favourably with sister states in all areas of development.
“The issue of insecurity bedeviling parts of our dear state is a thing of serious concern to us ,be rest assured that if elected into office we will use all our energy and available resources to end banditry”he added
“Our State is known as an agrarian community with sizeable number it’s population practicing one form of agriculture or the other as a means of livelihood, unfortunately many peasants now cannot go to farms for the fear of being abducted ‘” Aliyu averred
Alhaji Aliyu also pledged to renovate all the affected shops by an inferno that ravaged the sokoto central market in some years ago.
He expressed dismay over the way the present administration in the state is showing no interest on issues that affect traders in the state.

“It’s been years now since our market was gutted by fire with quite a number of shops razed down and yet government could not repair them as a result of which trades were forced to display their wares by the road side”he added
He also assured traders of an enabling environment to do their business unhindered.
In his address,the minister of police affairs who is also the Director General of the campaign council, Muhammad Mai gari Dingyadi said APC will give sokoto the leadership it deserves and appealed to people to vote for the party’s candidates at all levels.
Alhaji Dingyadi underscored the contributions of APC to the development of Nigeria and expressed optimism that the gesture would be sustained.
In his goodwill massage,Abdulkadir Dan iya who represented Alhaji Umarun kwabo a PDP bigwigs who decamped to APC few a days ago charged people of the state to come out enmass to vote APC in the forthcoming election.
This according to him has became necessary in order to save the state from the shackles of poverty ravaging it in recent years.
“It’s disheartening to see that our state has recently been topping the list of the poorest states in the federation”Daniya added
This why we need to put head together to change the current system for lack of performance”he has said
Other speakers at the rally stressed the need for APC supporters to redouble efforts in sensitizing people on the need to vote for APC.
During the rally a number of decampees were received into the party .
The party leader in the state, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko formally presented APC’s governorship candidate Ahmed Aliyu sokoto,his running mate Idris Muhammad Gobir, as well as those vying for for state and national assembly seats to the crowd.
