According to Tinubu, his statements in Ogun State, where he highlighted the role he played in bringing President Muhammadu Buhari to power in 2015, were not an attempt to ridicule or disrespect President Buhari.
Rather, they were meant to serve as a reminder to some people, and for them to appreciate his contributions to the successes APC has so far recorded.
“The meanings given to my speech are completely contrary to what I meant by my words,” he said.
Politics Digest gathered that a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, David Babachir Lawal, in a statement today, also said that Tinubu’s speech in Abeokuta on Friday, did not demonstrate any disrespect to President Buhari, whom he (the presidential hopeful) holds in high esteem.
