Supreme Court: No Amount of Propaganda Will Change My Destiny, Abba Replies Ganduje
POLITICS DIGEST – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate 2019 election in Kano state, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf has reacted to the state government’s comment on the recent Supreme Court judgement in Imo state.
Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje was recently reported via his commissioner of information arguing that the scenario that led to the sacking of Imo state governor, Emeka Ihedioha is entirely different from that of Kano state.
Abba in a statement by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, said since the matter is already before the supreme court awaiting final verdict, they have decided to reserve further comment until the court decides on Monday.

He said, “We are law abiding citizens and proceeded to the court to seek redress on the injustice meted against the people of Kano State by the incumbent Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, INEC and the Police.
“We believe in all honesty that the supreme court will do justice to our petition, so don’t want to preempt the outcome of the panel of judges.
“No amount of propaganda can change our fate, power belongs to Allah and He gives it to who He wishes at the very time He so wishes”
“We want to use this medium to appreciate all the efforts of our supporters and well wishers within and outside Kano for their prayers and goodwill messages on our quest to reclaim the stolen mandate of the good people of Kano State”, the party added.
The apex court last week reserved judgement on Kano state governorship tussle till Monday next week.
PDP’s candidate, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf is challenging the victory of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of APC in the March 9 governorship election.
The Monday’s judgement will end the nine months of legal battle between the two contenders, though Ganduje has won both at the election tribunal and the appeal court.
