PDP’s frivolous Court action against Gov Mai Mala Buni is a poorly scripted propaganda: APC

POLITICS Digest- The All Progressives Congress, APC has on Thursday rubbish PDP’s court action against Mai Mala Buni, Chairman (CECPC), APC, calling it a desperate and poorly-scripted propaganda plot aimed at deflecting attention from the crisis rocking its party.
This was contained In a statement signed by the APC National Secretary Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Sen John James Akpanudoedehe Ph.D, in Abuja.
The party said “While we are constrained from and reluctant to comment on the PDP’s misplaced and frivolous court action because it will be sub judice, the PDP leadership is obviously executing a desperate and poorly-scripted propaganda plot aimed at deflecting attention from the crisis of confidence the failed opposition party faces”.

Accusing PDP of being ignorance of the law, “The PDP are ignominious rablerousers and have no locus to take any action on the internal affairs of the APC. The Supreme Court has already affirmed the status and legality of the CECPC and that is all there is to it.
There are clearly spelt out punitive measures against abuse of court processes. We are confident that the Judiciary will apply these measures fully”.
Meanwhile, Politics Digest reported earlier that the PDP had accused Mai Mala Buni of holding two key positions at the same time which is against the law. In a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/885/2021 filed through Emeka Etiaba and four other Senior Advocates of Nigeria on Thursday, the party said Mala-Buni, who is also the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker and Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, violated the 1999 Constitution by holding two executive positions simultaneously.
The Party had approached the Federal high Court, Abuja to sack APC CECPC Mai Mala Buni as governor of Yobe State.
