Political Thugs Attack Kwankwaso’s Convoy in Kano, 15 Injured
POLITICS DIGEST – No fewer than 15 members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Kwankwasiyya Movement were injured this afternoon as a result of attacks by thugs, the Spokesperson of PDP gubernatorial candidate, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa has said.
In a statement signed by the spokesperson, PDP alleged that the supporters were on their way back from Kwankwaso village in Madobi Local Government where the the former Kano State Governor Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso commissioned a female private College of Nursing and Midwifery (NAFCONM) to mark his 63rd birthday, when they were attacked.
The statement further said “Information at our disposal confirmed to us that hundreds of political thugs were assembled by officials of Kano State Government at the Sharada/Sabon Titin Panshekara underpass bridge with the sole aim of disrupting the convoy of the opposition PDP Kwankwasiyya at around 1.30pm today Monday 21st, 2019”.

The statement then condemned the attack, describing it as ‘barbaric political thuggery’ aimed at intimidating the opposition in the state.
PDP however alleged that they had intelligence report of the attack, though security agents refused to do anything to curtail it despite alerting them on time.
Kano state government being the prime suspect by the Kwankwasiyya sect of the attack has not so far reacted to the allegation.
