JUST IN: Tinubu Drops Maryam Shetty from Ministerial List, Appoints Keyamo
POLITICS DIGEST – The Kano State ministerial nominee, Maryam Shetty, has been dropped from the list of ministers-designate before the Senate.
This is coming after the ministerial nominee perfected all the screening processes at the Department of State Services (DSS) and the National Assembly.
The news came to her after she arrived at the Senate complex on Friday, awaiting screening at the waiting room.

She will be replaced by Dr Mariya Mahmud Bunkure, a medical doctor and former commissioner for Higher Education in Kanos state.
POLITICS DIGEST reports that there have been complaints from Kano stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress led by the National Chairman of the party Abdullahi Umar Ganduje over her appointment.
Ganduje was according to our sources influenced by his wife, Prof. Hafsat, who complained to him that the ministerial nominee doesn’t deserve the position.
Meanwhile, the President has also appointed former Minister of State Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, and sent his name to the Senate for screening.
