Tinubu Is Here, Finally
By Doji Doji
‘Jagaban’, which means ‘leader of warriors’ is the title that best describes who President Bola Ahmad Tinubu is in the Nigeria’s political space. The ex-Lagos State Governor is one courageous leader that is adept at getting things done.
Tinubu, indeed has secured his position as one of the most influential politicians in the country. He foresaw himself strategically placed to lead this country decades ago.
The way Nigerians irrespective of party affiliation are celebrating the few days of Tinubu in office is quite amazing. This pleases our mind and complements our effort during the campaign period. In just less than two weeks, President Tinubu has gained more popularity than the years of his life. Tinubu came onboard handy, equipped and ready to do the job.
The wheel of governance has never rolled so effectively like now. The Buhari we have been yearning to come decades ago is finally here. President Tinubu takes the bull by the horns.
The few days of the Tinubu administration have changed the direction of this country. The first devil Tinubu fought so well was the removal of the fuel subsidy that has paralyzed the economy of this country.
Many appreciate the decision even though it was not going to be easy. Others refused to endorse the right decision because of partisanship. But the fact remains that the removal was done with good intentions.

Not only did he remove the subsidy, he invited the oil marketers to the table and convinced them that the decision was for Nigeria’s good and they all submitted to it.
The EFCC and DSS have been struggling in one shoe. The inter-agency rivalry was so visible and alarming, but it is all now history. It took Tinubu a few hours to resolve it. Tinubu is here, finally.
The NLC and the TUC had also threatened nationwide strikes. But I told my friend the other day that Tinubu won’t allow them to embark on strike because he is a good negotiator. A leader like Tinubu is what this country had been waiting for.
Electricity is another burden that gives Nigerians hard pill to swallow. With the recent development of the new electricity bill signed by President Tinubu, Nigerians can now generate electricity not more than 1 megawatt in aggregate for their daily usage or less than 100 for distribution at a given site without licences.
The new electricity act which aims to improve the private sector investment in the power sector has now replaced the 2005 electricity and power sector reform act.
In less than 14 days, President Tinubu has made tough decisions which took some people more than eight years to do.
I have never doubted the political will of President Tinubu; his deep vision and strategic sagacity, too. Only Tinubu could have scaled through the series of huddles on his path to the Villa.
Indeed, with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nigeria will record massive infrastructural development and economic growth, like it never had.
Long live Jagaban, the archiyey of a new Nigeria!
