2023: Tinubu Woos Delegates With Promise of Establishing ‘Marketing Board’ for Yobe’s Agricultural Sector

A former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has promised to maximize the agricultural potential of Yobe State, if he emerged as Nigeria’s President in 2023.
He said that he would constitute a “Marketing Board” to support Yobe and other States to thrive agriculturally.
Tinubu, made the pledge in Damaturu over the weekend, insisting that Yobe needs a President like him who is ‘an accomplished businessman’.

Accompanied by Senator Kashim Shettima and some top APC officials, the former Lagos State Governor, was received by Governor Mai Mala Buni at the Yobe State Government House, in a colourful ceremony, a statement by the Tinubu Media Office, revealed.
Noting that Yobe’s greatest potential is agriculture, the APC chieftain, assured that he will provide farmers in the State with everything needed to boost local and foreign investments in Yobe’s agricultural sector, if he becomes President.
The statement quoted Tinubu as saying: “I mentally pictured the millet, sorghum, corn, groundnuts, and other produce that are coming out from this axis to the rest of the world.
“So, I can say that Yobe farmers are doing great, but they need to be supported and encourage”.
