District Head urges residents of Ketare to take part in the interest free loan provided by FG
POLITICS DIGEST- A traditional leader, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara has appealed to Ketare residents in Kankara Local Government are of Katsina State to actively participate in the ongoing registration for interest free loan provided by Government.
The Kanwan Katsina and District Head of Ketare, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara made the call on Thursday at a sensitization and public enlightenment organized by National Orientation Agency (NOA) Kankara Local Government Office in collaboration with Ketare District Head’s Office for village, ward heads and other stakeholders on the on going business registration exercise in the area.
He said government has set aside funds to assist people with small business under the special financial support program of trader Moni, farmer Moni and market moni
The Monarch further explained that under the program, farmers and petty traders will be supported with soft loans ranging from 50,000 to 300,000 naira to improve their productivity.

Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara noted that beneficiaries are expected to provide a valid means of identification, bank account number and BVN to be able to enroll into the program.
The Traditional ruler added that communities of Ketare, Katoge, Hurya, Gurbi, Tsamiyar Jino, Tudu, Kuka Sheka and Pawwa in Ketare district are to benefit from the program and called on them to utilize the opportunity.
The Kanwan Katsina said the loan provided will be re-paid within one year and urged the beneficiaries to ensure to pay back in time to enable others benefit from the same gesture.
He used the opportunity to call on people of the area who are eighteen years and those that are willing to change their voting point due to some reasons to take advantage of the on going voter registration exercise to do so.
He acknowledged the efforts of government for executing various developmental programs in the Ketare district especially the recent construction of comprehensive health care center in the area and the construction on gully erosion sites in Gundawa among others.
Kanwan Katsina called on the state government to dredge and rehabilitates Gundawa and Hurya earth Dams to store more water for irrigation and domestic purpose.
