Traditional Youth Forum Inaugurate New Chairman Task Youths On Creativity
The newly inaugurated president of the Traditional Youths Chief Forum, (Sarkin Samarin Nigeria), Alhaji Abdul Hamid Haliru, has urged Nigerian youth to be positive and creative in any situation they find themselves.
Haliru made the call while speaking with journalists shortly after his inauguration as president in Abuja on Friday.
According to him, “Leadership at whatever level, at whatever capacity, cannot be achieved without creativity. It’s not just about the charisma or the character of the leaders. It requires a lot of creativity.”
“Youths should be creative and positive about anything they are doing, and that is what the organization is going to bring to the table.
“Anybody who cannot follow simply cannot lead. So, learn to follow. Follow your elders, respect your elders, and be creative about it. If you follow well, when you get there, you will also lead our business,” he said.
Speaking on his new position, he explained that it is a heavy responsibility but something he is looking forward to, something he is excited about, and with God’s grace and all the plans that they have in place, government support, the forum council will be properly organized.

“We hope to bring a sort of enlightenment, change, and progress that other councils, including the youth council itself, have not been able to bring because we are accredited by first-class Emirs.
“We have a direct relationship with our people, with our cultures, with our religions, with our Emirs, and our stakeholders.
“We are very positive. I have a very, very good team. It’s not just about me. We have a very solid team experience, people experienced minds. All of them have very solid ideas that we can all come together and work together.
Speaking on unity, he said, “I learned from the best. When Mr. President Tinubu won the election, he said, ‘hand on deck’ and he extended his hands to everybody, including the opposition. Therefore, we don’t have enemies.
“We need all hands on deck. Everybody can offer very crucial advice. We don’t have enemies. We only have different ideas and different perspectives which we hope to bring together and then form a stronger one.”
Sarki Samari of Lafia, Barrister Aliyu Yusuf Shehu, said, “We are youth leaders from different Emirs and we are very close to youth, and the greatest percentage of the population today is youth-driven. You cannot achieve anything politically, economically, and otherwise without the involvement of the youth.
“We, as traditional youth holders that represent our different domains, are here to chart a course for the government and for the young people. So that at least we will forge ahead with one voice and make sure that we carry every other member of our Emirates in the whole country together.”
