VIDEO: Drama in NASS Chamber as Speaker’s Wives Fight During Swearing-in

A drama ensued at the National Assembly on Tuesday when wives of the newly elected Speaker, Tajudeen Abbas, engaged in a heated argument on whose right it is to stand behind him while taking his oath of office.
In a video seen by POLITICS DIGEST, while the Speaker was taking the oath, his alleged second wife was behind him, then a lady believed to be the first wife suddenly stormed the stage and pushed her away.

The Clerk of the House who was administering the oath was visibly embarrassed by the incident. He had to pause a bit before he decided to continue the proceeding.
The first wife took the position of the second wife while engaging her husband in a heated conversation.
The two women also exchanged words while standing behind their husband at the oath-taking ceremony.
As we could see from the video, the Speaker tried to caution the duo but this first wife maintained her position while the second wife later kept calm.
There were also unconfirmed reports that the two wives resumed bickering during the Inauguration dinner later on Tuesday night.
