2023: Why I Endorsed Obi for President – Edwin Clark

Elder statesman, Chief Edwin Clark, has endorsed former Anambra state governor, Peter Obi, for President ahead of this year’s general elections.
Chief Clark announced his endorsement of the Labour Party candidate at a news briefing in Abuja on Tuesday.

He mentioned traits like honesty, trustworthiness and transparency, which Obi displayed as governor of Anambra state as his reason for pitching his tent with him.
Chief Clark called on Obi to tackle the issues of the injustices and environmental degradation in the Niger Delta region if elected President.
The Ijaw leader backing is the second high-profile endorsement to be received by Obi in three days.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo had also in his New Year homily on January 1 called young Nigerians to vote Obi for President, saying he is the best man to lead Nigeria out of the woods.
