Ibom Air has said that an unidentified passenger was forcefully disembarked by their security operatives at Abuja Airport due to his unruly behavior.
This was contained in a statement released by their Group Manager, Marketing and Communication Aniekan Essienette on Saturday afternoon.
According to Essienette, the passenger stood up and began addressing passengers in an inappropriate and unruly manner on their Abuja-Lagos flight on Friday evening.

“Our crew deemed his continuous unruly behavior unsafe and called on airport security to help with the situation. Upon his refusal to stop or disembark peacefully, the security operatives were left with no choice but to forcefully disembark the passenger as a last option,” the statement read in part.
The commercial airline has reassured its commitment to maintaining very high safety and service standards and promised never to compromise the safety and security of its passengers.
“We apologise to the affected passengers for the time it took to disembark this passenger, which caused an otherwise on-time departure to be delayed by an hour,” the statement added.
Recall that Politics Digest had earlier reported that an unidentified supporter of Peter Obi who stopped a plane from moving was arrested by airport guards in Abuja.
The unidentified man was caught in video shouting “Tinubu cannot be sworn-in” and when he was apprehended, he was shouting “OBIdients, come and save me.”
