Why It’s Zone C Turn To Produce The Next Governor Of Benue State, By Chief Noah Mc Dickson
I wouldn’t like to bore you with the historical narrative of the creation of Benue state from Benue Plateau state in February, 1976, but it is an absolute statement of fact that since the second democratic experiment in 1979, no zone C person has ever been considered for the number one seat of the state.
Therefore, as a concerned elder and equal stakeholder in the Benue enterprise, I wish to say categorically that it is now the turn of zone C to occupy the seat of the governor of the state.
From 1979 when Aper Aku emerged as governor of the state to this day, no zone C son or daughter is ever considered.
The governorship seat has always been recycled by zones A and B as if zone C is not part of the state.
The saying that if pushed to the wall, even a goat could bite may be true after all.
The people of zone c are gradually running out of patience because the Benue political family is not friendly at all.

In an ideal democratic setting, equal representative and fairness is key. Besides, the people of zone C are richly blessed with leadership acumen and qualities that can bring development to the state.
This great opportunity has eluded the good people of Benue state that would ordinarily have benefitted from such leadership qualities.
It is on record that the people of zone C have performed excellently well at the national level, and can as well do same in the state.
It is my sincere desire to witness a zone C governor in Benue state. Equity and fairness is the bedrock of any democratic foundation. We in zone C now deserve to be governor of the state.
Because as I earlier stated, injustice and marginalization breeds hate and anger.
As peace loving people, we should not allow things to degenerate to the worst state before we react.
If we have supported our zone A and B brethren from the time of Aper Aku to Moses Adasu. From George Akume to Suswam and currently Samuel Ortom, then it is wise that they support zone C in 2023.
There is no better time than now.
God bless Benue State
