2023: Wike has History of Anti-party Activities – Chidoka
By Ozumi Abdul
A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and former aviation minister, Osita Chidoka, has said that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State is at liberty to choose any candidate he likes.
Osita Chidoka stated this on Tuesday during an interview on Channels TV’s Politics Today.
Chidoka, was reacting to how Wike avoided the PDP governorship candidate in Lagos State, Abdulazeez Olajide Adediran (well known as Jandor) and endorsed Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for second term.

He said: “Its the prerogative of Governor Wike to support any candidate he likes and to endorse any candidate he likes. This is not the first time he is doing it. In Anambra during the governorship election, he did not support the PDP candidate. He said it was against his conscience to fight against his friend who was running for governor.
“I believe that this is consistent with his style and he is at liberty to choose who he wants to endorse. He is at liberty to choose who he likes. I don’t consider that important because in Lagos State we are not going to depend on a non-Lagosian to tell them who to vote for governor,” he said.
