Zamfara Assembly Resumes After Two-Month Recess
POLITICS DIGEST– Zamfara State House of Assembly has resumed sitting after two months of recess as a result of the coronavirus pandemic

In a statement, Mustafa Kaura, an aide to the Speaker, Nasiru Magarya said, “After due consideration of the fact that there was no any coronavirus case in the state, the Speaker of the House, Nasiru Magarya, was left with no alternative but to re-open the hallow chamber for legislative business”.
He quoted the Speaker as saying, “Social and physical distance will be observed during the plenary as enshrined in the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control protocol while limited number of media organisations will be allowed to cover the sittings”.
Jafaru also said general public were also not allowed to witness the sittings.
