Zulums’ Extreme Concern: a Blessing not a Mess, by Abba Ali Abatcha
There is politics in everything, and there is everything in politics, which comes with participation of government and key notable individuals who distinguished themselves primarily to bring about development and Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum is one of them.
Prior to the 2019 Guber Elections in Borno, we had a big chance beckoning at us, to vote for not just a competent person, but a tested and trusted candidate, who is willing to change the paradigm shift and give us a defined sense of direction.
Meanwhile, as passionate ambassadors of positive progress and resolute witnesses to all inclusive government, we voted Prof. Umara Babagana Zulum, the willing force of good governance. For he is capable of passing a powerful life to our languorous dreams, feeble future and bleak fate in Borno.
Surely, it is within the confine of our unanimous decision to make Borno state great that we opt for Prof. Zulum. Such decision comes with somewhat sacrifice(s) and, only the most willing agents of changing the futile political tradition did so.

We understood very well that the task however, demands high sense of commitment, dauntless confidence and of course passion for positive development. For this reason, we settled for a leader, that can overhaul our myriad leadership deficiencies and restore absolute tranquility in our dear state, where unity and development is established once again.
Prof. Zulum’s other special display of amazing influence was when he emerged as the Executive Governor of Borno State since 2019, he has never ceased to proved his shrewd qualities. He established contacts in the post conflict development and understand very well, more than anyone, the dynamics of people’s welfare reform as well as the security apparatus in all the LGA’s in Borno, because even as a commissioner, he toured round all the LGA’s and had a first hand both experience and information.
Permit me to at this point quote a Hausa adage; “Sarki Goma, Zamani Goma”. Meaning, every leader has his own style of leadership. We are happy with Prof Zulum’s style of leadership and approaches to some certain situations. That’s how it should be. Prof. has already shown absolute potentials to take Borno state to her promise land. Without a doubt, Borno needs this golden intellectual in the task of our ongoing social and economic recovery, rebuilding of our ruined communities and resettlement.
Let no one listen to reactionary elements who sees nothing good in those who struggle for the welfare of the common people. Prof. was never rash and brash but focused and determined out of sheer genuine commitment and oath.
