AMANI Empowers Six Female Entrepreneurs with N1.5 Million

POLITICS DIGEST- A non-interest cooperative society, the AMANI Muslim Women Empowerment Initiative, has provided financial empowerment to six young female entrepreneurs, awarding each of them a grant of ₦250,000, totaling ₦1.5 million.

The grant distribution event, which took place on Friday in Abuja, saw the selected entrepreneurs receive ₦250,000 each to support their businesses.

In her opening remarks, Mrs. Hadrat Omipidan, Coordinator of the AMANI group, encouraged the beneficiaries to use the funds wisely to grow their businesses.

She stated, “Today’s interventions are clear evidence of our commitment to protecting and empowering women. I urge all the beneficiaries to make the most of this opportunity by using the funds to expand their businesses, rather than spending it on clothing or jewelry.”

Mrs. Omipidan also expressed gratitude to the group’s long-standing sponsors and appealed to the government, especially the First Lady, Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu, to support the initiative in strengthening its capacity to reach more women.

Two of the beneficiaries, Akanbi Sherrifat Bukola and Jummai Hajara Adamu, expressed their appreciation to AMANI for selecting them as grant recipients.

Sherrifat remarked, “I’m elated because I know this grant will significantly boost my business. I hope other well-meaning Nigerians will emulate what AMANI has done today.”

Jummai added, “Today, we are few, but look at the smiles they have brought to our faces. This grant not only helps me but also supports my family and, ultimately, the society. AMANI has truly elevated me, and I am proud to be part of this initiative.”

The AMANI Women Empowerment Initiative has empowered over 100 women to date, supported vulnerable individuals through food distribution programs, and organized Ramadan feeding initiatives.
