Enugu Governor Appoints 101 Aides
Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, has approved the appointment of 101 new political aides comprising seven special advisers, six senior special assistants and 88 special assistants.
The appointments, which took effect immediately, were announced in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Chidiebere Onyia.
The newly appointed special advisers were assigned portfolios covering inter-governmental affairs and coordination, policy affairs and analysis, stakeholders’ relations and community affairs, economic development, grassroots coordination, commerce and business development, and conflict resolution and mediation.
They are Fidelis Odo, Augustine Okoli, Pedro Nwankwo, Chimezie Nkwuo, Vitalis Okonkwo, Peter Omeje and Sam Nwagu.

The six senior special assistants are Rachael Okonkwo, Okey Ude, Chinedu Chukwunwike, Peter Ogbe, Chinedu Ozoeluba and Frank Udemezue.
Their portfolios include film and creative industry development, inter-party affairs and mobilisation, party monitoring, legal and regulatory compliance, boundary and land dispute resolution, and small and medium enterprise development.
According to the statement, the special assistants will handle responsibilities spanning forest protection, market sanitation, health facility maintenance, environmental protection, community development, youth engagement, women mobilisation, public communication, infrastructure monitoring, rural development, technology and innovation, among others.
The statement said the appointments were part of the administration’s efforts to strengthen coordination and service delivery across various sectors of the state.
