Seven Hours With Shaaban Sharada, by Adnan Mukhtar Tudunwada
POLITICS DIGEST– While attending the Nigerian Guild of Editors Biennial Convention at Tahir Guest Palace in Kano on Monday, I received the call of Honorable Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada, a member of the House of Representatives representing Kano Municipal Constituency. He called to invite me to be part of his scheduled activities for the day.
A vibrant lawmaker whom I regard as focused and articulate, he is one of the few young lawmakers in their 30’s at the green chamber.
At this time of insurgency, Sharada Chairs the sensitive House Committee on National Security and Intelligence. A swiss german by nature with relentless dedication to service, he is a man who is no doubt giving his best towarda tackling the insecurity situation bedevling the country perennialy.
Sometimes ago when he paid a special visit to my residence, a phone call came in and it was none other than Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State. Throughout the enduring over fifteen minutes duration of the call, nothing short of the insecurity situation in that state was discussed and the way Shaaban kept proffering solutions to the issue was to say the least splendid.
I was particularly carried away by his strategic suggestion and approach to how the problem of banditry can be brought to a lasting end. Sharada did not move anywhere else the next day but headed straight to Zamfara State in service to his people and our dear nation.
Back to the call. He had requested me to accompany him to the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital and to be part of those that will host visitors from the Qadriyya Movement under the leadership of renown islamic scholar Sheikh Qaribullah Nasiru Kabara.

It goes without saying that Sharada is the best lawmaker In the history of Kano Muncipal Constituency right from 1999 looking at his economic, social and political support to his people.
He has supported hundreds of students to Sudan for their undergraduate studies in different field and now he is sponsoring another fifty for NCE Programme at Turasul Islam College of Education.

My seven hours with Shaaban Sharada on Monday has indeed touched me immensely and increase my love for him unconditionally.
